
Jenny Smith (b. 1981) is a writer and artist residing in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Her oil paintings were initially featured in literary journals such as Room Magazine until she transitioned to sculpture, creating interactive pieces such as 'In Your Hands' (West Vancouver waterfront, 2021) and 'Innocent Flame', a Pender Islands community art project (2023) that engaged hundreds of residents with multiple interactive works. In the winter of 2025 her public multimedia sculpture ‘Cyber Tree’ was installed on the Nanaimo waterfront engaging the community in discussions about technology. Most recently she published her first book 'How Art You [The Fool's Journey as an Artist]' which will be available for purchase soon.
